A native of Rhode Island. Douglas Paul Johnson graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Speech Communication in 1980. After graduation, Mr. Johnson moved to Europe and returned in 1981 to attend the Nova University Law Center in Fort Lauderdale.
Mr. Johnson has been licensed to practice law since 1985 by The Florida Bar, The Rhode Island Bar, The United States District Court Southern District of Florida, The United States Court of Appeals Eleventh Circuit and The Federal Trial Bar.
Mr. Johnson was a past member of the Democratic Executive Committee and elected as a precinct committee person. In 1991 he was elected to the city of Oakland Park City Commission as a council member and as Mayor of that City from 1993 to 1994. He is currently a member of The Republican National Committee. He was selected as an Honored member of U.S. Registry's Who's Who Among Outstanding Americans, in 1995.
Mr. Johnson is a member of The American Bar Association, The American Trial Lawyers Association, The Association of Florida Trial Lawyers (Florida Justice Association), The Broward County Bar Association and The Broward County Trial Lawyers Association (Broward Justice Association).
In 2008 Mr. Johnson became President of Public Adjuster Claim Services Inc. He has dedicated his talents as a trial attorney to representing property damage claims as a public adjuster.
